Planning for Mt. Jam in the New Year!

For me, a new year always means that Mountain Jam planning is about to kick into high gear. I checked out Gov’t Mule’s New Year’s Eve show at the Beacon Theater, and was very psyched to hear their tribute to the original 1969 Woodstock Music Festival!
As far as planning goes, we are trying to finalize our initial band lineup. Agents and managers have returned to their offices and are now starting to book summer tours for their artists. The lineup is taking shape and we are now trying to put the right artists on the right days at the right times. Expect a preliminary lineup announcement towards the end of the month as well as an on-sale date for our tickets! We’re also very excited to be bringing more sculpture and installation art to the Mountain this year. We’ve started checking out the work of some local talent and we welcome any suggestions that our fans might have!
We also launched the first and second installments of our new series “Mountain Jam Mondays” by giving away a free track from U-Melt’s performance at Mountain Jam 2009, and a new photo gallery available for download. Each Monday we’ll be distributing new, free, and exclusive content to MJ Fans via our social networks (Facebook and Twitter) and on our website (MountainJam.com). Check it out if you missed it!

VERY SOON......
Its a damn shame though that they didn't beat Wakarusa to the punch! Like holy smokes they gonna steal a bunch of people if that lineup doesn't come out soon.

Here's the first line-up rumor that I've come across. This is courtesy of cupcake, from here and the infobury site, via someone on the inforoo site.
apparently relix magazine leaked some artists for this years mj!

Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi Band
The Avett Brothers
Toots & the Maytals
Dave Mason
Lettuce
ALO

Seems like a pretty credible rumor. I'd be over the top psyched if it's true that the Avett Brothers are coming.

They better get a night time set. 2 setter would be key. Jefferson Waful (UM) and Chris Kuroda (phish) are the best in the Lighting biz. I need to see Waful light up that mountain.
